My name is Mike, and I created this site because I was tired of traditional political reporting.
Too often, there will be some unholy amalgamation of opinion and news, resulting in a lack of clarity as to what is fact and what is opinion. I have also seen a general lack of attention to detail, specifically for aspects of the story that expose nuance. Far too often, major news organizations will over-simplify very complex issues, leading to a lack of clarity.
I hope to do a better job of bringing you political stories with as complete a set of facts as possible, with a balance of detailed explanation of complex topics and accurate summaries for people who have better things to do than read a long-winded article with, like, boring details and stuff
